Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Isaiah 59:1

For an addict::
Dear Lord Jesus,
I am desperate for You. I need You more than anything else.
Rescue me from this addiction. I cannot do it on my own. You alone are the Savior. I am bound. Please set me free. I am weak. Please be my strength. Take away all the cravings. Give me clear, rational thinking. Banish the demons far away away for me, silence their lies, and protect me by your Holy Spirit. When I am tempted to fall back, remind me that my thirsts and cravings can only be filled by You. Please deliver me completely from this addiction. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, please give me a new life - an abundant life - that you have designed for me. Lead me to Your Cross, to Your Word, and to Christian friends who will help me on this journey. I surrender and put my trust in You alone. Amen.

(My 10-Step Prayer)
Lord God, My life is a mess. I am powerless to fix it. But God, I am choosing to believe You and Your Word now rather than Satan's lies. You are all-powerful. You alone can take my messy brokenness and make me whole. Because Jesus lived and died for me, I believe that I am more loved and accepted than I could ever dare hope. Through Jesus, I can be restored to a right relationship with You. Through Jesus, sanity and stability can be restored in my life. I admit that I’ve tried to care for myself and I can’t do it. I surrender my will to You. I surrender my reputation, my experience, my hopes and my dreams to You. I want You to take care of me from now on. I want Your thoughts to be my thoughts and Your ways to be my ways.
Lord, I am more sinful than I ever imagined. I have excelled at justifying myself and shifting the blame to others.
I have rebelled against You when Your plans didn’t align with mine. I have encouraged others to join me in my rebellion against you. My list of sins is long. I’m willing to have You point each one out to me. But I’m also trusting that Your grace is greater than all my sins. Because Jesus paid the penalty on the cross with my own blood, I am no longer guilty in Your eyes. Because He took my record of wrongs and exchanged them with His record of righteousness, I am no longer condemned. Lord, You alone can set me free from the burdens that weigh me down and the things that stress me out.You alone can take the hurts of my past and my present.I surrender them to you. I’m asking you, God, to make things right in my relationships with others. Give me humility to swallow my pride and take the first step towards reconciliation. Give me love to show grace – just as you have shown grace to me. Give me courage, wisdom and direction to make amends. Help me to pursue peace with the people around me. Help me to trust You. Help me to quickly turn away from sin. Please silence the lies of Satan and silence the lies within me. Help me to listen to Your voice and hear Your truth as I read Your Word. Help me talk to You often - about everything - in prayer From now on, I only want Your will for my life. Help me to fix my eyes on You. Help me to know Your will. Give me the wisdom, courage, faith, strength and direction to obey and follow wherever You lead me. I give up. I surrender. And I put my trust in You alone. Amen.
