Confession
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and purify us from all unrighteousness. (I John 1:9)
Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. (Psalm 130:3-4)
God does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is his love for those who fear him;as far as the east is from the west, so far as he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. (Psalm 103:10-14)
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He has not dealt wit us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103.8,10-12)
Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. (Ezekiel 18:30-31 -The Message)
So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.... (Ephesians. 1:6-8, NLT)

Lord, I confess that I have taken my eyes off of You. I have looked to people, places and things for my happiness. I have ignored your Word and failed to listen to your voice. I have become enslaved by my sin – justifying myself, making excuses, blaming others, and sometimes delighting in my rebellion. I so often choose to do what is right in my own eyes, without even thinking about Your will for me. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Help me to turn away from anything and everything that keeps me from loving and obeying you they way that I should. I turn to You, my Savior, who died for me. Forgive me. Cleanse me. Change me by the power of your Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Lord, please forgive me.Have mercy on me and don’t harm me.
Don’t consider me according to my failures.I feel dirty for what I’ve done, Lord. Please take my guilt away. I know I have done wrong.Though I have hurt other people by my sin, I realize that I have sinned against you.
I have broken your laws. My sin haunts me everywhere I go, everywhere I turn. You have the right to punish me in any way that you please. I deserve it. How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep me from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Your Word promises that if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. You demonstrated your own love for me in this: while I was still a sinner, Jesus, You died for me. Though I deserved death, you took my place. You have given me the gift of eternal life. So I praise You, oh God, for the glorious grace You have poured out on me. You are so rich in kindness and grace that You purchased my freedom with the blood of Your Son, You cleanse my conscience so that I might serve the living God!
