Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

*****
Dear Lord God, You know me better than I know myself. You know and understand my desire for a spouse. You understand my loneliness and my desire to love and be loved. More than anything, help me to believe that I need to be engaged to You, Lord Jesus. Help me to realize I need You more than anyone or anything else. I need You to take away all the sin in my life that hurts my relationship with You -- all of the self-indulgence and all of the self-righteousness. Clothe me in the beautiful white garments, the robes of Your righteousness, that You have provided for me. I want to give my life to You, Jesus -- body, mind and soul - and belong to you forever and ever. Thank you for your rich and free grace that makes this relationship possible. Thank you for pursuing me and embracing me just the way that I am. Help me to love and adore You and remain faithful to You always. Remind me often that I am safe and secure with you. Help me to trust that You will supply ALL of my needs. Lord, please mold and shape me into a person who would be a good spouse. If and when you choose to introduce me to the person that You have chosen to be my partner on this earth, I pray that we both will seek first Your kingdom and live in your grace. I want nothing less than Your perfect will for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
